Learning Technology Group: Peer Evaluation for Team Learning

Time: 3/29/2012 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Location: Viking Union 567

Members of our campus community are welcome to join the "Learning Technology Group" lunch-hour discussion aimed at increasing our campus-wide understanding and use of technology as a teaching tool. All Western faculty, staff, and interested students are welcome to attend.

Have you ever wished for an easier way to facilitate peer evaluations? Justina Brown will demonstrate a free, web-based peer evaluation tool. Developed by an interdisciplinary team through an NSF grant and hosted at Purdue University, the “Comprehensive Assessment of Team Member Effectiveness” (CATME) tool might just be a valuable addition to your teaching toolbox. Instructors who have used this instrument will be on hand to broaden our discussion.

The Learning Technology Group at Western is an ongoing collaboration of Academic Technology and User Services, working with the Center for Instructional Innovation and Assessment, to engage faculty in implementing and evaluating new technologies for teaching.
