Environmental Influences and Student Success

Time: 10/26/2007 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Viking Union 462 A/B

Presented by Peter Rosenberg, of The Spelman and Johnson Group, this workshop details how the physical environment at a university can be welcoming, inclusive, and support academic success. It can also be confusing, exclusive, and significantly impede student learning and personal success. Slides of Western Washington University will be shown to demonstrate the impact of environmental variables on students, faculty and staff. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in discussion about how to develop classrooms, labs and offices that will help shape a positive learning environment.

Space is limited. Advance registration in this free workshop is required. RSVP by 10/19 to Gretchen.Anderson@wwu.edu

This special event is sponsored by the Teaching Learning Academy, the Academic Advisors Group, and the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education.
