“Talking Like the TLA”: Using Dialogue to Learn

Time: 12/7/2006 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Bond Hall 106

During this hands-on session, campus members of the Teaching Learning Academy (TLA) will discuss this year’s study theme as an opportunity to gain strategies and practice in facilitating this kind of dialogue. The TLA study theme for 2006-07 is: How do we create a positive learning culture at Western:
motivated by hope
marked by a sense of shared humanity, and
made possible by the active engagement of many?

Engaged in studying the intersections between teaching and learning, TLA members include faculty, students, administrators, and staff from across WWU’s campus, as well as several alumni. In addition to biweekly study group sessions, the TLA sponsors all-campus forums with featured speakers as well as professional development workshops and seminars.
